Tin Ceiling Tile Re-Incorporation:

Before the space that Yume occupies was "Yume," it was a hair salon in the front, and a dentists' office in the back. Before that... TBD through further research.

One architectural element of the space that long predates Yume is a certain design of tin ceiling tile. While the original ceiling had to be removed due to layering over, rotting, and overall poor condition, we managed to keep one of these tiles, as an artifact of what once was.

We re-modeled the tile in Cinema4D, then 3D printed a 1/18th scale version of it, to create a backsplash for our sink.

We hope you can engage with these tiles and appreciate the history that they call upon.
